Compare the Sim Floor and Sim Pedal Heel Rest to find the right foot support for your sim racing rig. Learn about their differences, compatibility, and which one suits your setup best.

Quick answer

Choose the Sim Pedal Heel Rest if you need stable heel placement for precise pedal control, or the Sim Floor if you want a larger footrest for overall comfort during long sessions.

Size and coverage differences

The Sim Floor measures 490 x 350 mm, offering a wide platform that supports both feet and allows you to shift your foot position. The Sim Pedal Heel Rest is narrower at 420 x 160 mm and is designed specifically to support the heel area behind the pedals.

Mounting and compatibility

The Sim Pedal Heel Rest requires mounting to a compatible pedal deck, such as the GT1 EVO pedal deck (2021 and newer) or the P1X Pro, P1X Ultimate, and GT1 series. It uses M6 countersunk holes and includes spacers. The Sim Floor attaches with four corner brackets and works with all P1X, P1X Pro, P1X Ultimate, GT1 Pro, and GT1 Evo (2020 and newer) rigs. If your rig is older than 2020 or uses a non-standard pedal deck, the Heel Rest may not fit.

Material and feel

Both products use 4 mm aluminum, but the Sim Floor uses a diamond plate that adds grip and a distinct look. The Sim Pedal Heel Rest uses a smooth aluminum heel plate. The diamond plate on the Sim Floor can feel textured underfoot, while the Heel Rest’s smooth surface lets your heel slide slightly if desired.

How to decide

  • Choose the Sim Pedal Heel Rest if: You need a dedicated heel support for consistent pedal feel and your rig has a compatible pedal deck (GT1 EVO 2021+, P1X Pro, P1X Ultimate, GT1).
  • Choose the Sim Floor if: You want a larger footrest that fits most Sim-Lab rigs (all P1X, GT1 Pro, GT1 Evo 2020+), and you prefer the option to reposition your feet during long sessions.
  • Consider both if: Your rig supports both products and you want a dedicated heel rest for pedal precision plus a wider floor for foot comfort. However, check that the Heel Rest mounts behind your pedals without interfering with the Sim Floor. Measure your pedal deck area to confirm both can fit together before ordering.

Product facts

  • Sim Pedal Heel Rest: The Sim Pedal Heel Rest is made from a 4 mm thick aluminium heel plate and includes spacers for installation. The thin profile and spacers let you adjust the height to match your pedal angle for a consistent heel position.
